I was very disappointed to hear that Harry Potter was postponed all the way until July next year. It was very upsetting. I am a big Harry fan and was getting all excited to see the movie. The only good thing to come out of this was that Twilight is taking its place and is being released three weeks earlier than planned.
I really enjoyed the Olympics this year. Micheal Phelps was amazing. The Women's Gymnastics team was thwarted by judges who had never really even seen the sport and they were judging them. All the volleyball teams were amazing. (indoors and beach) My heart goes out to the men's volleyball coach and all he has been through the past two weeks. I love the way the Olympics brings out the such strong unity for country. I love the USA! I am proud to be an American, and am grateful for the chance to live here and have the freedoms I have. What an honor it must be to represent country.
Well, I am done and need to get to bed. My poor students in the morning don't want a crouchy teacher.

Little tidbits
We had one rose bloom since we moved it. Of course it bloomed while Arik was gone. Arik was afraid that he had killed it when he used the weed eater to attack our weeds. He will be so proud to know that it survived. 
My two beautiful girls.
Brookelyn is posing. She is in the funny face stage. She is too funny.
This picture would have been really cute if her eyes would have been open. They are just growing up way too fast. Kira is walking everywhere and is getting better each day. She now says ma, da, hi, mo (for more, which she screams louder and louder until she gets more). She is following in her sisters footsteps. She looks up to Brookelyn and tries to do everything Brookelyn does. If she wakes up before Brookelyn she will look in the front room and kitchen, if she doesn't see Brookelyn she makes a beeline stright for Brookelyn's room. If the door is open she walks in goes straight to the bed and starts talking until Brookelyn wakes up. It is cute!

Fire
I finally was able to get the pics uploaded. Here are pics from Arik's last fire. I talked to him tonight and he is safe and having fun. 
My first week of school went well. We found out that my books were just sent out today so I will get them sometime next week. my kids are pretty good and I am learning every time I stand in front of them. I am enjoying it though.

Ventings
I tried posting some of Arik's fire pics but for some reason they wouldn't upload but I will try again later. Arik was on his fire for 12 days. He was home for 8 days and this morning went on another fire for another two weeks. He was home long enough to put together my dryer, help me hang our pics and kill all the weeds that had overtaken the house. But now he is gone again.
Today I reported to school. When I got there I found out that they ordered only one classroom st of books for both myself and the reading teacher. We have to use a cart to move them to each of our classes. Then the teacher editions have not yet arrived, the student workbooks are also missing and the desk they ordered for my classroom still has not come. This is a lot of stress for a first year teacher. I am doing what I can. Another frustrating thing. They gave me a book during the summer that they said would be used this year. I have been looking over it and trying to come up with some ideas. Today I learned that they ordered different books and all that I looked at was a waste. So much fun!!!! NOT!
I finally got Breaking Dawn and was able to read it. I was a skeptic in the beginning of the whole series but after reading them I am impressed and it was written well.
Down point. The 6th Harry Potter has been postponed until next July. They wanted to wait until the highest movie point but come on it is Harry Potter everyone is going to be going to it anyways why hold out? I have been getting mixed dates for the Twlight movie release now. I have seen the 12/12 release and since Harry was delayed I have seen a 11/21 date so which is it???
Luckily we still have HSM3 to look forward to. I am excited to take Brookelyn to it because she hasn't seen a movie in a theatre yet. We have taken her to the drive in but not the theatre. She loves seeing the previews and is excited for it also.
Kira is walking everywhere. She just took off. Brookelyn started walking while she and I were in Texas so Arik didn't see her take her first steps. This time Arik was on a fire and he didn't get to see Kira take her first steps. But he thought it was so cool when she walked to him when he got home.
The Olypmics are awesome. I just love watching them. Way to go, Micheal Phleps!! I just enjoy the spirit of it and I love cheering on the USA!!! Everything that Brookelyn watches she says, "I want to do that!" "Can I do that mom?" It is great seeing her getting into it. I just love it!

Happy Birthday Kira
Today Kira turned one years old. We got her this chair/couch. Brookelyn has a princess chair that Kira loves and that they fight over all the time. Hopefully that solves part of the problem. 
i think she looks like Brookelyn in this picture. 
Grandma and Grandpa got her this toy. She was walking everywhere with it. Brookelyn loves it also. So now the fighting is over this. 
Kira was not shy about enjoying her cupcake. Brookelyn hated getting her fingers dirty and on her first birthday wouldn't touch her cake. Not Kira!!
This was the end product of her cupcake. Needless to say, she went stright to the tub. Arik is enjoying his time on the fire. he climbed up a mountain so that he could call Kira for her birthday. He sure loves us.
