Halloween

Look at me being on top of it and posting Halloween pictures on Halloween.  (If I don't do it now I won't get to it for a long time.)

Monday night for Family Home Evening we carved pumpkins.  I am sure about 90% of you did this for your family home evening also.  It was a lot of fun and the girls liked the finished product. For those of you that know Brookelyn (and have known her from an early age) you know that she hates getting dirty.  Well, both girls would not stick their hands in the pumpkins to clean them out.  If fact Brookelyn went in a corner and cried and cried for 5 minutes.  I felt so bad.  In the end (after they were all cleaned out) Kira reached her hand in and touched the bottom of the pumpkin.  Brookelyn just stuck her hand in part way.  (It was a big step and we are proud of her.)  *We also realized how grateful we are that Brookelyn was first.  She really does mellow Kira out a lot and they would probably get into a ton more trouble if Kira was the first born.

Kira first thought she was just suppose to draw a face.  :)
With the candles on.

Brookelyn's.  I loved the creativity with the mouth.

Our friend, Thor.  She works in the office at the school and they did the Avengers.

Heading out!

Got a picture of dad!!

Walking and walking.

Kira's friend ended up joining up with us.  They loved going together.
We had lots of fun.  Arik and I are trying to pump ourselves up to actually get into the Halloween holiday spirit.  We will see for next year.  Hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween.  Can not believe that tomorrow is November.  Where did this year go?

Side note: I registered for my last semester.  I will graduate May 18, 2013, one day shy of exactly 12 years since I graduated high school.

Brookelyn

Brookelyn has become a ball of fire.  She is becoming over opinionated and just so much fun.  Okay on to the great stuff.  She played soccer last spring.  In May she was able to go down to Salt Lake City and play at half time of the Real Salt Lake game.  It was so cool.  She is a great big sister and really is wonderful with both Kira and Aiden.  She plays with them both and isn't tired of having Kira around all the time yet.  I can't believe that next year she will be getting baptized.  She started the 2nd grade and she loves math.  Her momma is so proud of her.  She is also taking piano lessons and doing so well with that.  So here is my bigger girlie.

1st grade program (yeah it's late.)

This was Brookelyn's 3rd day of school.

Go Brookelyn.  We actually had seats under then Zions Bank sign in the background.

Yep, I am that cute.

I love this picture.  (This was in May).

Mom cried.  She did so good.

Look at the concentration.

Hanging with Grandma at Kira's preschool graduation.

I'm tough!

Go Brookelyn, Go!

She really is a good kid.  The red hair is just dominating at the moment.  :)  I love my girl and I am glad that she is my first born.  We have fun together and I can't believe how big she is getting.  She reads so well and will take time to read to Kira.  Love you Brookelyn.
