Monday night for Family Home Evening we carved pumpkins. I am sure about 90% of you did this for your family home evening also. It was a lot of fun and the girls liked the finished product. For those of you that know Brookelyn (and have known her from an early age) you know that she hates getting dirty. Well, both girls would not stick their hands in the pumpkins to clean them out. If fact Brookelyn went in a corner and cried and cried for 5 minutes. I felt so bad. In the end (after they were all cleaned out) Kira reached her hand in and touched the bottom of the pumpkin. Brookelyn just stuck her hand in part way. (It was a big step and we are proud of her.) *We also realized how grateful we are that Brookelyn was first. She really does mellow Kira out a lot and they would probably get into a ton more trouble if Kira was the first born.
Kira first thought she was just suppose to draw a face. :) |
