At least I didn't yell

So I went downstairs today to just check on the kids and make sure that everything was alright. My niece tells me that Kira cut her hair. I look at Kira and can't see anything. Then I look closer and notice that her pigtails are way too short. Yep, she had cut her pigtails. I was so sad. Kira's beautiful curls, gone. So I ask her to show me where. Kira takes me to the bathroom and shows me all the hair in the trash can. At least she cleaned up after herself. Kira starts crying and I asked why she is crying. She tells me that I am mad at her. I just hug her and tell her that she can't cut her hair we need to go get it cut somewhere.

Inside I wanted to yell and scream and get all mad but I didn't. Point for my self control. So here are the pictures of before and after. Brookelyn decided that she wanted her hair cut too but she waited until we were at teh salon to get it cut.

This picture looks like the mug shots of celebrities caught doing bad stuff. But she is not happy and I was not happy. Now it is a funny picture. You really can't tell that the pigtails have been cut too much.
This is the finished product. It does look cute but all her prefect curls are gone. This was the back of her hair. It looks all yucky but look how long it is. This is the finished look. So short!!Brookelyn wanted her hair cut too. Here is the front. She told the lady she wanted it at her chin, when the lady made the first cut Brookelyn freaked out a little bit, then she looked at me and said, "It's okay mom. It will grow back, it is just hair."The back of Brookelyn's head. Though it is short, it really does look cute on her.

A side note. Arik got called out on a fire. I know, it is March and there is snow. The fire is in Colorado. They left today and don't know when they will get back. They could be gone up to 2 whole weeks. (Right up until his backpacking trip.)
