We added the newest addition to our family on Nov 25. There will be another post all about the delivery and stuff but this is focused on his blessing. We blessed Jonathan on Dec. 1st, a total of 6 days after he was born. My parents were both in town for the birth and with them going to Japan for Garrett's baby and then to Virgina for Melanie's baby , Arik and I decided to just bless Jonathan when they were here instead of making them come back out. They would have too but since they were both here we decided to take advantage. Besides I was not going to have my Dad miss my last child's blessing, especially since this one is named after him. :)
Brandee and Spencer were able to make it for the blessing along with many other family. All of Arik's family was there, my grandma and grandpa Bowen, Aunt Julie and Uncle Butch, and two of their boys and the 3 ME Bowen girls. We also had many friends travel from Wyoming and Salt Lake for it. We are greatly loved and were so blessed to have everyone make it. We have the best families and friends in the world.
Below is an overload of pictures but I had a hard time choosing which ones to use.
Brandee had a lot of fun taking pictures of him.
Totally being spoiled by Aunt Brandee.
Aiden loves to play on the Ipad and his favorite game is Temple Run. Everyone would just watch in amazement when he played. The kid is awesome at it. Here Bowen and Aiden are having fun playing.
I think they miss living near each other. Aiden would walk around saying, "Where's Bowen?" "Bowen, where are you?"
Two peas in a pod. I think that when the Bagshaws moved it was hardest on these two. They were inseparable the whole time that they were at our house. Good thing we get to see them on our way home from Texas again.
Here are our attempts of getting pics of the kids. Aiden was already mad because he didn't get to go to nursery because we left right after Sacrament meeting. He was also tired.
one nice picture. :)
Here is the man of the hour or day or month. :) I ordered his outfit on Amazon to make sure that it was here in time since we didn't know if he was a boy or girl until the Monday before the blessing. :)
My parents with Jonathan. I am forever grateful that my mom has been able to be with me for at least a week with each of the kids. She even got up with Jonathan one night so that I could sleep and just get up to pump.
I love this picture. Jonathan with his namesake. I love that each of our boys are named after their grandpas.
Arik's parents with Jonathan. Grandpa was pretty happy that we had another boy. Now there are two Jorgensen boys to carry on the family name. :)
Since Brandee has been our photographer for the last few years we tried to get a family pic with her here. Of course Aiden was not helping and the girls had already changed but this is us. :)
The only one he wasn't crying in.
We all decided to do a grumpy face.
Jonathan is now 2 weeks old and we are getting better at handling 4 kids. It is nice that the girls are older and can help so much. They were much more strict on what I can and can't do for the first 6 weeks. It could be that this was my last or that I had a little extra surgery but they were really strict. I can't pick up Aiden for 6 weeks and that has been really hard on him. The last week before Jonathan came I started having contractions pretty bad. Arik was out of town so I pretty much was on bed rest praying that Arik and my parents would make it here before the baby did. I haven't been able to pick up Aiden in weeks and then the first week home Aiden couldn't even be near me because he is not gentle.
Arik's parents took Aiden for 4 days and he came home a much happier person. I am able to do more with him now and make sure that I make time fro just Aiden and mom everyday. I still can't pick him up but he is getting okay with that.
